The two main towns in the Sacred Valley, Pisac and Ollantaytambo offer plenty of lodging options.
In Pisac are the Pisac ruins and markets. During a visit to these sites you may want to spend the night in town. Pisac has a variety of accommodation types, which range from back-packer havens to modern luxury hotels. The only time you may have trouble finding a place to stay is in September, when pilgrims heading towards nearby Huanca descend on the town. A listing of hotels in Pisac can be found at Viva Travel Guides Pisac Hotel Guide.
Despite its relatively small size, Ollantaytambo boasts a variety of accommodation options. In particular, the city has plenty of good budget options for backpackers taking the train to Machu Picchu. If you’re really penny-pinching then head towards the San Isidro neighborhood, where many families have turned their homes into hostel rooms. You can reach this hostel haven by following the main road through town and heading left towards the ruins. All accomadations in Ollantaytambo are listed at Viva Travel Guides' Ollantaytambo Hotel Guide.
